Sites of Nature Conservation Importance in Wealden
  Details of each of the following sites are contained in the document "Wealden Sites of Nature Conservation Importance" prepared by the District Council. The site number is provided for easy reference.
 

For the purposes of this Plan, the sites are shown in Plans 1-97 incorporated within this Appendix, in Site Reference order. These sites were designated in 1997. The list of sites remains unchanged since the Adopted Wealden Local Plan 1998. The sites are therefore reproduced for information purposes only. All information is understood to be correct at the time of printing.
  Code of Conduct
  It should be noted that most of the sites described on these pages are in private ownership and consequently have no public access, other than on public rights of way. Many contain species or habitats that are rare, uncommon or sensitive to disturbance. The information contained on these pages is available for bona-fide use only, to ensure that the sites and their wildlife are conserved. The information should not be used for promotional purposes.
