Welcome to the online version of the Newark & Sherwood District Council Local Plan. Both the Written Statement and the Proposals Map are available here in a user-friendly and interactive format. Please note that as part of the process of updating Local Plans and replacing them with Local Development Frameworks, the Distict Council was obliged to submit to the Secretary of State a list of policies which it wished to continue to be part of the area's Development Plan. As a result of this process as from the 27th September 2007 the Secretary of State has determined that the following policies will *no longer* be part of the area's Development Plan.

			Written Statement
			The policies and proposals of the Local Plan are set out in the Written Statement. Click on the icon to the left to launch the Written Statement.
