ACTION PLAN
 
The Action Plan is additional to the Local Plan and lists proposals for development and other actions which will help to implement the Plan strategy. The Action Plan will be monitored regularly and be updated every two years to take account of those proposals which have been completed or changed, and to identify new proposals to emerge since the Local Plan was published. The lead and partner organisations identified against the proposals will therefore have a responsibility to alert the Council of changes to the proposals.
By identifying the organisations responsible for implementing each proposal and the timescale for each, the Council will be able to assess how the Local Plan strategy is working. If corrective action such as policy changes or revised timescales is required, this will be applied when the Local Plan is altered or reviewed.
The St Andrews and East Fife Draft Local Plan will be followed by a Finalised Local Plan (in late 2005), and the Plan will thereafter be Adopted (sometime in 2006). The Local Plan process will run alongside the process for replacement of the Fife Structure Plan ("Fife Matters"). The Draft Structure Plan will be published in February 2005; followed by a Finalised Structure Plan in Autumn 2005; with Approval sometime in 2006.
